Quick Media Converter does as the name suggests and quickly converts videos in a variety of formats. This allows you watch your audio and video in virtually any media player and provides you the option to export your audio and video to video and audio editing programs. It may not provide conversions for lesser-known A/V formats. One of the things you want and need in a converter designed to quickly convert videos is a simple streamlined interface to help you get started quickly. Unfortunately, while Quick Media Converter does provide a host of features, it doesn't necessarily make it easy to convert your videos and audio right off the bat.

When you first launch the program, you're presented with a screen that has several buttons and a menu bar. The menu bar contains options for saving your file, setting your language and configuring your settings. There's also a help feature that gives you access to various support articles and a way to contact the developer. The application also has a donate button so that you can compensate the author if you feel the software is worth it. When you click the "Settings" option, you're presented with a screen to ask you to select videos directory and a profiles directory. These directories house all of your videos and profiles to make it easier to access and convert your videos in the future.

One nice thing about the program is that you can drag-and-drop videos directly into a list. Once you add the files you want to convert to the list, you can select the various tabs below to change the settings for the video or audio. By highlighting a video in the list you can also preview the selected file to make sure it's one you want. The software also provides an HD mode for users that want to work with high-definition audio and video. For those that want to use their WebCam to record screen casts and other types of presentations, you can select the WebCam option. After you select the "WebCam" option, the CamStudio opens up and gives you options to capture video or picture directly with your webcam.

While Quick Media Converter does have a somewhat convoluted interface, it does provide a large number of features and it's completely free. Many of the translations to English contained spelling and grammar errors, which may cause some confusion for people trying to use the program. Once you get over the structural issues with the program, it actually provides quite a few good options for converting video and audio.
